Connections with LinC Yarra Valley

Grace Communion Mooroolbark’s involvement with the weekly social supermarket at Goodness Gracious Network has provided the opportunity for their church members to serve the community and be part of a much-needed outreach, providing both physical and emotional needs.

Several church members are also members of the township group executive that provides invaluable connections to the local community, thus living and sharing the gospel by being a benefit to those around us.

Through the LinC Yarra Valley / Empowered Faith Communities connection several Grace Communion Mooroolbark members have attended the EFC workshops and the National Manager, Mark Matthews has visited the community meal. Mark is also mentoring, on a casual basis, the lead pastor.

In the last 12 months, coming off the EFC training, Grace Communion Mooroolbark has started offering a new devotional for a small group before the meal. Life stories are shared, stories of Jesus are shared, and many more personal prayers are requested as relationships develop.
