Welcoming Christian Youth Camps, ADANAC
We’re delighted to welcome Christian Youth Camps, ADANAC as a member of the LinC Yarra Valley network.
Christian Youth Camps, ADANAC has been a fixture of the Yarra Junction community since the 1960’s. Sprawled on a 13 acre hill in the heart of town, ADANAC’s views are just a good as it’s cooking! With a focus on drawing young people into nature spaces that enables them to step out of their ‘everyday’ and into God’s creation, ADANAC has grown since it’s humble beginnings. What started as a lodge on a bare hill, now holds 150 beds, stunning landscapes, numerous activities and is booked-out by schools 2 years in advance.
CYC took over the site 16 years ago from Wattle Park Gospel Chapel and invested heavily into the site, and aside from the business booming over this past decade, the ministry has also grown. CYC utilises all of it’s sites, including ADANAC, to run Ministry Camps over the holiday periods. ADANAC now has eight Ministry camps per year, covering Family Camps, Primary Camps and Teen Camps, seeing hundreds of kids and families walk through the doors and encountering the love of Christ.
ADANAC has kids and families from all backgrounds across Melbourne come to the site – and they are seeing a strong demand from Child Agencies and families alike for spaces on their camps. Adanac’s current Turbo camp director, Greg Orr, and Family Camp Director, Bek Popplewell, work hard to ensure all who come, get a chance to experience the living God.
ADANAC has a team of 30 staff from different faith backgrounds, who power this small, but mighty site. With a mixture of casual, part-time and full-time staff, some who have been part of the team for 20 years, ADANAC is truly blessed to have such a dedicated and caring team. Site Manager, Leah Kearney, has been a part of this team for three years now and is working closely with CYC, the local community and Yarra Ranges council to find ways to increase their reach.

The holiday ministry camps are open to ALL, so check out this site if you, or someone you know, would love some adventure.
Otherwise, the ADANAC website can be found here.
